The old saying, " prevention is better than cure," is one, the truth of which has long been recognised, and which has for long been applied to many branches of medicine. Till recent years however but little has been done in this direction towards the prevention of the diseases it is proposed to discuss briefly in this article. Much undoubtedly can be done towards the prevention of such conditions and it is the aim of this article to bring this briefly to the notice
